YUHZEET Artisans Marketplace

Welcome to YUHZEET, an online marketplace connecting Jamaican artisans with buyers around the world. By accessing or using the YUHZEET website, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the platform.

1. About YUHZEET

YUHZEET is a curated online marketplace that allows independent Jamaican artisans to list and sell handmade or small-batch products directly to customers.

YUHZEET:

  • Is a platform, not a reseller
  • Does not manufacture, store, or ship products
  • Facilitates payments, listings, and order communication

2. Eligibility

To use YUHZEET:

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • Artisans must be based in Jamaica

YUHZEET reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove users at its discretion.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate contact information

YUHZEET may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Artisan Applications & Approval

All artisans must apply and be approved before selling on YUHZEET.

Approval is based on factors such as:

  • Product type and quality
  • Alignment with marketplace standards
  • Accuracy of provided information

Approval is not guaranteed and may be revoked if standards are no longer met.

5. Product Listings

Artisans agree that:

  • Products listed are handmade or produced in small batches
  • Listings are accurate, honest, and up to date
  • Images and descriptions reflect the actual product

YUHZEET may remove or hide listings that:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Are misleading
  • Do not meet quality standards
  • Involve prohibited or restricted items

6. Orders & Fulfillment

When a buyer places an order:

  • The artisan is responsible for preparing and shipping the product
  • The artisan must ship within a reasonable timeframe
  • Tracking information must be provided once available

YUHZEET does not guarantee delivery times and is not responsible for courier delays.

7. Shipping

Artisans are solely responsible for:

  • Packaging items securely
  • Choosing a courier
  • Shipping the product to the buyer
  • Providing tracking details

Shipping costs are set by the artisan and displayed to buyers before purchase.

8. Payments

YUHZEET collects payments from buyers on behalf of artisans using third-party payment providers such as WiPay and Stripe.

By using YUHZEET, you agree to the terms and policies of the applicable payment providers.

9. Fees & Commission

Platform Commission

YUHZEET charges a platform commission on completed sales:

  • Free Tier: 15% commission
  • Pro Tier: 5% commission + JMD 2,500 monthly fee

Commission rates may change with notice.

Payment Processing Fees

Payment processing fees are charged by third-party providers and are:

  • Separate from YUHZEET’s commission
  • Automatically deducted
  • Not controlled by YUHZEET

10. Payouts

  • Orders become eligible for payout only after successful delivery
  • Payout timing depends on the artisan’s tier:
    • Free Tier: weekly payouts
    • Pro Tier: payouts every 2 business days
  • Payouts are processed manually at launch

YUHZEET reserves the right to delay payouts in cases of disputes, suspected fraud, or incomplete order information.

11. Verified Artisan Status

The Verified Artisan badge:

  • Is optional
  • Is awarded through a separate application and review process
  • May be granted based on sales history, documentation, or Pro Tier enrollment

Verification is not permanent and may be removed if standards are not maintained.

12. Reviews & Feedback

Buyers may leave feedback where enabled.

YUHZEET reserves the right to remove feedback that is:

  • Abusive
  • False
  • Irrelevant
  • In violation of platform standards

13. Prohibited Items & Conduct

You may not use YUHZEET to:

  • Sell illegal or restricted goods
  • Resell mass-produced items as handmade
  • Misrepresent products or identity
  • Harass or abuse other users
  • Circumvent platform fees

Violations may result in suspension or termination.

14. Disputes

YUHZEET may assist with communication but does not guarantee dispute resolution outcomes.

Artisans are responsible for:

  • Resolving order issues in good faith
  • Cooperating with reasonable dispute inquiries

15. Intellectual Property

  • Artisans retain ownership of their content and products
  • By listing on YUHZEET, you grant YUHZEET a non-exclusive right to display content for marketing and platform operation
  • You may not use YUHZEET branding without permission

16. Limitation of Liability

YUHZEET is not liable for:

  • Lost or damaged shipments
  • Buyer or artisan actions
  • Courier delays
  • Indirect or consequential damages

Use of the platform is at your own risk.

17. Termination

YUHZEET may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violations of these Terms
  • Repeated delivery failures
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Behavior harmful to the marketplace

18. Changes to These Terms

YUHZEET may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica.
