Selling on YUHZEET

The Artisan Guide

YUHZEET is a curated online marketplace created to help Jamaican artisans sell their handmade and small-batch products to a global audience, including the Jamaican diaspora.

This guide explains how YUHZEET works, what is expected of artisans, and how orders, shipping, fees, and payouts are handled.

1. Who YUHZEET Is For

YUHZEET is designed for Jamaican makers who create handmade or small-batch products, including:

  • Homeware and decor
  • Soaps, candles, oils, and personal care products
  • Jewelry and accessories
  • Clothing, crochet, and textile goods
  • Wood, resin, glass, and mixed-media crafts

If you make your products yourself (or in a very small team), value quality, and want to reach buyers beyond Jamaica, YUHZEET is for you.

2. How Selling on YUHZEET Works

Step 1: Apply

Submit an artisan application with:

  • Your artisan or brand name
  • Your parish
  • A short description of what you make
  • An email contact

There is no cost to apply.

Step 2: Review and Approval

All applications are reviewed to ensure:

  • Products are handmade or produced in small batches
  • Listings align with YUHZEET's quality standards
  • The marketplace remains curated and trustworthy

Once approved, you gain access to your Artisan Dashboard and can begin adding products.

Step 3: Add Your Products

From your dashboard, you can:

  • Add product listings
  • Upload photos
  • Set prices and availability

To maintain quality, YUHZEET may review your first product (and occasionally others).

Step 4: Receive Orders

When a customer places an order:

  • You will see it in your dashboard
  • You will receive a notification
  • Payment is collected securely by YUHZEET

Step 5: Ship the Order

Artisans are responsible for:

  • Packaging items securely
  • Shipping orders using local couriers such as Zipmail, Knutsford Express, and Jamaica Post
  • Entering the tracking number once the item has been shipped

This allows customers to follow their delivery progress.

Step 6: Delivery and Payout Eligibility

An order becomes eligible for payout only after:

  • The package is successfully delivered
  • Delivery is confirmed by the customer or verified through tracking

This protects both artisans and customers and helps prevent disputes.

Step 7: Get Paid

  • Eligible orders are included in the next payout cycle
  • Free tier payouts are processed weekly
  • Pro tier payouts are processed every 2 business days
  • You will be notified when funds are sent

  • A short story about your work
  • Your product listings

Stories are written in third person for consistency and professionalism. Artisan submissions may be lightly edited for clarity while preserving your voice.

Verified Artisan Badge

The Verified Artisan badge is not automatic. Artisans may apply for verification by meeting one or more of the following criteria:

  • A history of successful sales with positive feedback
  • Submission of a valid business registration certificate
  • Enrollment in the Pro tier

Verification is reviewed manually and awarded at YUHZEET's discretion. Learn about Verified Artisan.
